Hi I’m Gemma and I’m offering English tutoring for students sitting their Higher and National 5 exams! I am currently a student at the University of Glasgow, undertaking a joint-honors degree in Scots Law and History. I will be tutoring on exam technique for the RUAE question, Critical Reading (essay structure, general advice + targeted guidance for certain texts), and can offer guidance on other aspects of the course including preparation for the spoken language presentation. For my exams, I studied the following texts, which I would be happy tutor on; -Higher – Othello (William Shakespeare) -Higher – The Poems of Liz Lochhead -Nat 5 – Lord of the Flies (William Golding) -Nat 5 – Tally’s Blood (Ann Marie Di Mambro) Overall, I am friendly, approachable and always willing to help students in any way I can. Having received tutoring myself, I know how valuable it can be when undertaking exams and that sometimes you just need someone else to explain a concept for it to click.
